Whirled Musings

Across the Universe with Cosmic Connie, aka Connie L. Schmidt...or maybe just through the dung-filled streets and murky swamps of pop culture -- more specifically, the New-Age/New-Wage crowd, pop spirituality & religion, pop psychology, self(ish)-help, business babble, media silliness, & related (or occasionally unrelated) matters of consequence. Hope you're wearing boots. (By the way, the "Cosmic" bit in my moniker is IRONIC.)

You want it darker

Not only do we have a world in which a bloated billionaire megalomaniac is going to be given the nuclear codes, but now the world has grown even darker with the announcement that one of the greatest songwriters ever, Leonard Cohen, has left the table.

Tributes
are pouring in from all over the world.

His death was not completely unexpected, especially in light of
the words written in his last "so long" to Marianne. But being expected doesn't make it any less heartbreaking.

RIP, LC. Travel light.
[Update November 12: Cohen actually died on November 7, but the announcement was not made until November 10.]
