Whirled Musings

Across the Universe with Cosmic Connie, aka Connie L. Schmidt...or maybe just through the dung-filled streets and murky swamps of pop culture -- more specifically, the New-Age/New-Wage crowd, pop spirituality & religion, pop psychology, self(ish)-help, business babble, media silliness, & related (or occasionally unrelated) matters of consequence. Hope you're wearing boots. (By the way, the "Cosmic" bit in my moniker is IRONIC.)

Loony Coldwell: cheesy video and bad spelling

They say a picture is worth a thousand words. Well, this still, captured from a recently uploaded video to promote Not-Doctor Lenny Coldwell, is worth at least three words: Lenny. Can't. Spell.

But then, we knew that already.

Here's a link to the actual video. The vid is really nothing more than an update of a cheesy promo vid he made a few years ago, complete with corny, Saturday Night Live parody-style narration.

"Dr. Leonard Coldwell!"
"Dr. Leonard Coldwell!"

"Dr. Leonard Coldwell!"

Except it isn't intended as parody, near as I can tell. But sometimes, unintentional parody is the best kind.

The vid starts out with some footage from Lenny's glory days in serial scammer Kevin Trudeau's Ponzi-like Global Information Network (GIN), and then flashes back and forth between various Lenny events, including the recent horsey camp in Georgia. It's rich and, as I noted, unintentional comedy. Enjoy!

Love the labels, you are going to make these guys so scary popular that they will have to hire people to carry their money around for them.

Cosmic Connie..she's so smart. When you tell her the truth, she can't comprehend so she dismisses it as "satire" art. You have been told who "Coldwell" is (not).

Ha, ha, Tom Banjo, you're probably right. Lenny is probably going to have to hire extra bodyguards to watch his piles.

Hi, "Anonymous." Good to see you here (if you are who I think you are)!
Everyone else: Anon is, I believe, referring to a theory, recently shared with me, that Lenny Coldwell does not really exist but is a totally fabricated person -- and that any photos of Lenny you might see are actually photos of someone else but have been doctored. (So to speak. Maybe a better term, in Lenny's case, would be "not-doctored.")

I have not yet gotten around to asking Anon how this imposter would pull off live Lenny appearances, but we've only just begun our illuminating dialogue. I've told Anon I figured that all of this "Lenny is not a real person" and so forth is satire, but Anon continues to insist it is all real. Or fake. Or... now I am just confused.

I continue to believe that Anon, by protesting, is just perpetuating the gag. Good job, Anon!

Anyway, here is the link that Anon sent to me as "evidence" that Lenny does not exist.

And here are further links, proving that the world is full of imposters:

The soon to be ex-Pope is really actor Robert Blake...

Here's Ground Zero for this particular conspiracy meme:

You have, as they say, been warned.

It's funny how a lot of these promo videos look like parodies! I've thought that each time I've watched an Access Consciousness video. "Did they mean for it to come out looking like a parody?" I always wonder.

Always nice to read your excellent blog. I've been meaning to drop you a note and decided to check in on your blog.

I read that Kate Middleton (I mean the Duchess of Cambridge) isn't really pregnant. Maybe she doesn't even exist, either! Doesn't exist and isn't even pregnant! A double conspiracy!
