Meanwhile, the martyrdom that began last year continues, and Saint David has stepped it up a notch with some old-fashioned Bible-thumpin'. Now he seems to be comparing himself to Saint Stephen. In his April 29 blog post, Australia's newest saint writes:
The story of Stephen in the Bible in Acts 6:8 to Acts 7:60 is a [sic] illustration of what negative thought creates. Stephen by all accounts was a pretty good bloke (full of grace and power, worked great miracles among the people it says). A couple of people got jealous of his following so "they secretly instigated and instructed people to say, We have heard this man speak, using slanderous and abusive and blasphemous language against Moses and God." In other words they lied to their friends, got their friends to lie to others, even creating false witnesses against Stephen.Uh-huh.
That happened 2000 years ago, but nobody would do that today would they?!?!? Surely we have learned something in 2000 years.
What Stephen said and did and the praises he received from those he helped must have really rubbed these couple of people up the wrong way ... my guess is that they were probably a couple of old friends who wanted the same recognition as Stephen received but never did anything to achieve it!! They were actually from Stephen's old church, so they would have known him pretty well - maybe some even worked with him before he became famous.
Well, the story goes on to tell us Stephen (the guy who was creating all the miracles and liked be [sic] many) was arrested and put to trial - all because of the anger and jealously of a couple of people who never helped anyone but sought to pull successful people like Stephen down. He was arrested by those he was trying to help, who were stirred up by the lying, deceitful, jealous friends from his old church!
Eventually the hatred grew so great against Stephen these people bit him and stoned him to death...
...We don't have record of what happened to those who instigated the evil hatred and anger to begin with nor of those who stoned Stephen to death because of the lies and deception create by those filled with jealousy. History rarely records these people ... they are quickly forgotten as they suffer their own disease, depression, failure, despair and often pitiful death; never remembered for the people they tried to bring down....
...You may think this is just a story that is 2000 years old ... the truth is that this same story is happening today. There are people like those jealous angry few that lie and deceive because they are too lazy to become better themselves, they see other people's successes and fame and seek to knock them down, even destroy them so they themselves don't look so bad. Too often it is created by someone who you know, even someone you thought was a friend. They don't do the stoning, they just create the negative stories, the slander, the lies, and incite anger toward you for striving to be the best you can be....
...To you who stand tall and bold, who focus only on giving your best, seeking only to lift up those around you, speaking word of truth and encouragement, loving even those who hate you and seek to destroy you - your rewards are health, happiness, prosperity, peace, fulfilment, love ... and life ... far over and above all that you dare ask or think, infinitely beyond your highest prayers, desires, thoughts, hopes or dreams (Eph 3:20) because this is also universal law ... God's law.
Meanwhile, your very own Cosmic Connie got taken to task once again, this time by an anonymous scholar of broadcast history who wrote, in response to the "SUCCEED" post:
Connies [sic] posts never seem to include the fact that "A Current Affair" used to be in the United States, but they were kicked out of Hollywood because they destroyed too many lives and too many families by fabricating stories and creating false reports. Then ACA moved to Australia and picked up where they left off in Hollywood. It seems as though this rag mag has people who will believe them without checking out the facts. Of course you'll never read this information in a Whirled Musings article because it's the truth. Perhaps Connie would fit right in at "A Current Affair."I thanked Anon for the history lesson, politely pointing out that the information was, alas, incorrect. The American "A Current Affair" and the Aussie "A Current Affair" are two completely different shows, with different broadcast histories.
"Besides," I added, "since when did anyone get 'kicked out of Hollywood' for 'fabricating stories and creating false reports'?" Heck fire, that's what Hollywood is all about, isn't it?
Another commenter chimed in:
the aca "historian" sounds like the wackadoo crackpot who was vandalizing any wikipedia mention of aca about a year ago--right around the time the first aca exposé on schirmer took place. hmmmm, i'm sure that's just a coincidence. other people took the vandalism down when there were no citations to back it up, but you can still see the insane screechings in the page histories if people are remotely interested. not too many are, except for the entertainment value. And the Whirled wags on...
i find it funny that schirmer supporters will occasionally show up on sites that allow both sides to talk about it, but on schirmer's own blog--which is moderated--dead silence.
c'mon, schirmer! if you're gonna invest your valuable, valuable time writing all the sock puppets--like your seriously lame attempt to sock-puppet on youtube a few months ago--why on earth can't you sock-puppet a few positive comments on your own blog? it just looks sad with you all ignored like that, especially since you keep talking about your many, many thousands of fans and supporters!
PS ~ By the way, the David Schirmer link I provided in the first paragraph is a link to a page on one of his own web sites. Here's one of the things it says about him:
One more thing you will learn about David is his 'down-to-earth' no-nonsense honest farmer approach. He still trades his own money and unlike many educators and authors ... still makes consistent profits. He also insists that all seminars, workshops and home learning systems have a full money back guarantee, that insists full refund of any monies paid if the participant isn't totally convinced that the information will dramatically improve their investing or trading returns.
His clients have averaged just on 30% per annum over the past 8 years investing in blue chips stocks. The Professional Traders he has taught have returned up to 50% a month consistently. This makes him one of the greatest stock and commodity teachers of our time.
He now drives the car of his dream, the latest BMW M5, owns real estate, has numerous businesses and this year will make a personal income from trading and business in excess of $1.5 million.
Just a reminder, for those of you who might be interested!
PPS (added on Saturday, 3 May): Several people have suggested to me that perhaps the "anonymous broadcast scholar" I mentioned above – the one who wrote the comment suggesting that I write lies on this blog – is none other than Keith Leon, who allegedly has been known to write similar remarks about A Current Affair to others. Not so long ago, Keith was such an enthusiastic supporter of David Schirmer that he presented Schirmer's amazing success story in his new book, Who Do You Think You Are? My personal opinion is that Keith himself is probably too busy
OMT: I've never said or implied or believed that tabloid TV is a source of the unvarnished truth. Far from it. I even felt a little sympathy for Schirmer last year when he was "ambushed" by ACA, and said as much on my blog. Yet he was the one who originally approached ACA to give him a forum for promoting The Secret and his own work. And while I don't necessarily endorse some of the tactics utilized by ACA and similar media outlets, my opinion is that they are performing a public service in this case.
LMAO Saint David in his little dreams.....
ReplyDeleteHe has finally confirmed his status as the biggest wanker on the secret. I can only imagine what all those people who are accusing him of fraud and lies and deceit and his exmate Bob Proctor who successfully sued him for misleading and deceptive conduct are thinking now. Not to mention the guy who is suing him at the moment.
The bells are tolling for Saint David but is anyone at all bloody well listening?
Maybe he thinks his self martyrdom will conceal the evil things hes done. Who needs to go to such lengths and make a mockery of the church just to make themselves appear righteous when its out there in black and white that he aint the saint he wants people to think he is. He thinks "if you think it long enough it becomes reality" right so the guy might be desparately trying to save his own soul because he knows hes in deep sh-t but what a weird and whacky way to do it?
Apparently we can all read but he can't because his misdeeds are out there for all to see but oh does he has MORE skeletons in the closet? Perhaps i'm focussing on the negatives a little too much. As they say "after all even villains could cite good intentions and intended glory" oh yes thats the easy bit and what they are so good at, living it is a whole new ball game and this guy doesn't seem to have a clue what a complete idiot he appears now.
Well, at least he is a Godly man. :-)
ReplyDeleteLOL yes he's a godly fool. What an absolute disgrace he is for mocking GOD.
ReplyDeleteI can't take this!!!
ReplyDeleteAnon 6:14: I don't consider it mockery so much as desperation with a glint of madness. Agnostic though I may be, I don't fault anyone for turning to a "higher power" if it brings them comfort, but those who wave it like a banner shouldn't be surprised when *they* get mocked.
ReplyDeleteIt is rather Xanax-inspiring, isn't it, Lana? Or maybe it calls for a whiff of Rescue Remedy. :-)
ReplyDeleteWhen are you coming to Texas?!?
Hey, thanks for the reminder! Nothing a little a Rescue Remedy and proper tapping can't help :-)
ReplyDeleteIf we can attract some travel money, we'd like to visit Texas in June. (I'm losing my touch in this area. Dang my disdain for the LOA!)
So... this idiot is actually comparing his own situation to that of a Saint?
ReplyDelete--begin rant--
In fairness to dickster David, he didn't actually say that - but the general wording on his post indicates at least that was what he was referring to. At least, that's the way I'm interpreting it. I could be wrong, of course - stranger things have happened - but it's far too coincidental to ignore, considering all that's happened in the media and courts re: david schirmer up to this point. I don't believe too much in coincidences, anyway.
So. I have a few points I'm just a-itchin' to make:
Did Saint Stephen owe creditors oodles of money? No.
Did Saint Stephen go around bragging "he was one of the world's greatest teachers law of attraction" or indeed, one of the greatest teachers of anything? Once again, no.
In reference to Saint Stephen, he was a true Martyr because of the persecution of himself due to his beliefs and his actions.
Mr. ACA Squirmer, on the other hand, (and I'll never forget the look on his face on that ACA report - but I digress), is currently publicly crucified not for his beliefs or points of view, but simply because HE OWES CREDITORS MONEY WHICH HE IS REFUSING TO PAY BACK!!!
Matyred? Or historically vindicated (rightfully so) and publically humiliated for the deceitful practices he engages in on an almost daily basis (as upheld by the Federal Court of Australia, a la Bob Proctor)?
That's the difference, peoples.
I want it made perfectly clear right here and now that I am deeply - DEEPLY - offended at his use of the Bible in an attempt to change people's perception of his crumbling reputation. I take GREAT offence at that and will not tolerate it.
Don't get me wrong. I'm not religious and I dislike the Bible, but there's something I hate even more - people who use (and / or interpret) religious texts, objects and what have you for their own personal manipulation over others. That's just wrong.
Actually, I got a good laugh out of the last paragraphs of his post, particularly the one in which he mentions God's law & Universal law - correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't the Ten Commandments clearly state "thou shall not steal"?
Yes. Of course it does. Somewhere in the Bible it also says somewhere there will be many false prophets. Take note, Saint Dave.
I wonder what Rhonda thinks of all this? I'm sure she's sitting somewhere reading the latest antics of David and reaching for the aspirin. God knows what the bust-up between Saint Dave and Bobby-boy did to her and her Secret Empire.
I imagine she's still cringeing at the prospect of the up-and-coming trials with former colleagues, which I'm sure is a headache in itself for her. However, I'm willing to bet a good wager Schirmers' shenadigans aren't good for the ol' secret business, yeah?
Ahhh... the secret =)) It has travelled through centuries, to reach... the law courts.
/rant
I too am extremely offended that this guy has taken it upon himself to equate himself to someone who history has recorded really has done good and the records were written by others, not himself, OUCH! Mr Schirmer is rather good at writing very positive and nice things about himself now isn't he?
ReplyDeleteI just wonder how history will record Mr Schirmers antics? Me thinks that the pages of the history books are already partly written as the court records are kept forever.
He should have learnt that from his own brothers records which are fully accessible to the public in all their disgusting details, that trying to cover up just don't cut it. What an absolute idiot.
St David can try all he likes to win the public by parodying the lives of any of the Bibles good men but that in itself will have its rewards for him and I doubt it will be to his liking.
I think its a case of 'LETTING THE LEFTHAND KNOW WHAT THE RIGHTHAND IS DOING' a concept probably pretty foreign to the likes of this guy.
Shakennotstirred,
ReplyDeleteI noticed that no one has bothered to reply to his April 29 post.
So much for the thousands of fans he claims to have. Either
a) that is another egotistical fantasy of his and his legion of fans don't exist, or
b) all the comments written on his April 29 blog post have been negative and he's not lettin' em' up for fear of bad publicity.
(I would have left one or two critical and nasty comments on his blogs myself, but I figure there's no point. I just think his posts are ridiculous and nothing I write on his blog can change that.)
Actually, more people reply to Whirled Musings posts than they do to Father Dave's ramblings.
I think he's clutching at straws. Obviously he's trying to expand his customer base by advertising on facebook, and interpreting the Bible to suit his own purposes, so business (or more to the point, long term scams I mean profits) isn't all that positive as he might hope. (People are just cottonin' on to his scams, dammit! How did that happen!??)
It makes me wonder what he'll do next. He already boasts about being one of the world's greatest teachers or whatever, now he's comparing his situation to that of a Saint. I'm half expecting him to turn around and say he's the living incarnate of some dead biblical figure next.
*sigh*
Sad. So very, very sad.
I see Schirmers blog as deliberately putting himself higher than everyone else.
ReplyDeletePaul said "do not think of yourself more highly than you ought"
I also found this elsewhere which I thought was rather good
"One of the sad realities of the Christian faith today is that few Christians have taken the time to know their Bibles and really listen to what the Word of God says. Not only this, but few have taken the time to really listen to what Jesus actually said. The result is that many who profess Christ are led away by what is actually a corruption of the gospel.
This result is a soul-destroying lack of knowledge, a spiritual fog and confusion of mind that pervades that which calls itself Christian. There is even much that passes for Christian today which stands in opposition to Jesus' own words. Doctrines are called "evangelical," a term which refers to the gospel, which are neither genuinely evangelical or the gospel. The Word of God warns against false gospels and false christs. Jesus, Himself, does so (Matt. 24:4, 5,23, 24). The Scriptures are the only standard by which the spirits may be tried, and they are to be searched.
To this problem is added the fact that we are confronted by a multiplying of corrupt paraphrases, (putting things in man's word, sometimes called dynamic equivalence) which falsely pass as Bible versions and translations. Jesus said, "That till heaven and earth pass, one jot or tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled," Matt. 5:18. While Jesus is speaking of the law, in the context the law embraces in this text the entire Old Testament."
Maybe Mr Schirmer needs to do a bit more study rather than preaching his own words because sadly that will come to grief especially from a man who has been proven to deliberately mislead and deceive.
That image is priceless, it looks like his head is ready to roll!
ReplyDelete"....and incite anger toward you for striving to be the best you can be...."
ReplyDeletePermit me to vomit. What a pompous ass this guy is. He has just been charged in the Australian Federal Court for misleading and deceitful practices and he is accused of being a fraud. If he isn't, where is all the proof that he isn't?
This is where the Jezebel spirit comes in because he cannot see what he has done to others and he cannot see what he is doing to himself.
Lock him up please...
Oh you just have to laugh at the guy. St David is now holding a teleconference on how to use the secret in marketing, yes I did say MARKETING. I know, I know it was St David himself who spoke very loudly saying that The Secret was NOT a marketing exercise but then he probably didn't think that one day he might need to reserve that comment because his cashflow would get to such a grave state that he would use anything he damn well could to make the dosh.
ReplyDeleteIt looks for all the world like his little cash cows, trading and personal development have dried up so he's got to come up with more crap to keep those house and car repayments.
All I am curious about is how he now plans to manipulate the secret to accomodate ST DAVIDS HEAVENLY MARKETING?
I can't quite see how that one works but if you can wrap it up and sell it then what the hell for your reputation, the money comes first right?
No!
ReplyDeleteDon't lock him up. That's the last thing that should be done.
He should be held accountable for his actions.
First, he needs to pay off his creditors.
Second, he needs to publicly admit his actions and the error of his ways, and ask forgiveness for abusing people's trust for falsely professing he is a "master" of something he knows very little about.
Third, he needs to confess that he has used "The Secret" and "the law of attraction" for the sole purpose of getting money off normal, trusting folk - and apologise for it.
All of these things ought to be done in the interests of the public.
"Third, he needs to confess that he has used "The Secret" and "the law of attraction" for the sole purpose of getting money off normal, trusting folk - and apologise for it."
ReplyDeleteIn a just world, he'd be merely one in a very long line, starting with the hucksters who came up with the Secret in the first place, and including every other Amway graduate who is riding the commercial coattails of this 21st Century snake oil.
My personal preference is to not ever have Schirmer appear in public again. Whenever I see his face or hear his offerings, I have an immediate and compelling need to take a shower. Two, if the soap isn't antibacterial.
In this case the media are serving an amazing purpose. Bring on edition half dozen please.
ReplyDeleteWhat Schirmer in confession? You have got to be kidding. That guy has no conscience so he hasn't a hope in hell of making it to confession... How he can use anything biblical to justify anything he has done and blame everyone else except himself is just wicked. The guy is a coward and has never taken any responsibility for anything he has done. In my view his actions have always been very deliberate and calculated and deceitfully wicked. ... but to people he has hanging around him they are so blinded by his charm that they simply cannot see the bluff. I can't wait to see justice served on this guy, it won't come a moment too soon.
ReplyDeleteThe Anon 12:14 PM comment above is slightly edited but the gist of it remains.
ReplyDeleteI did think it wise to insert a disclaimer at this point: Since I personally don't know David Schirmer, I have no way of knowing what his motives are, or if he is deliberately deceitful, and of course I am not qualified to judge whether or not he or anyone else is wicked or evil.
And, as always, I welcome thoughts from David Schirmer himself, or from anyone who thinks he's the greatest guy on Earth. (Wait... was that a redundancy?)
Anyway, I am keeping this forum open to both sides, as I always have. But I gotta say that so far the opinions are overwhelmingly not in Schirmer's favor.
Oh dear Mr David, not a very smart thing to do to use the bible to justify anything you are doing but if you do, please expect your accusers to use the bible too and if you say horrible things, please expect them to say horrible things about you too. So if you stole from people expect something to be stolen from you and if you are wicked then expect wickedness to come to your door too.
ReplyDeleteWhatever Mr David has done he must have been very nasty about it to attract so much negativity.
I have to say that I feel very sad for the people who feel victims of his because their hurt would not be easy to get over when Mr David so publicly exposes his worldly greed.
I don't think Mr David would be very happy in his soul and instead of being nasty we should pray for him and for peace for everyone. I have to say that I would too find it very frustrating trying to deal with a person who cannot see that they have done anything wrong or refused to make up a promises. That is not good ethics and deserves being told everywhere as much as possible.
These people get what they deserve and if this man has done some really terrible things to people then what comes back at him will be what he has given out and it should warn the public of who he really is. No hiding behind smiley faces or elloquent speaches anymore, its raw truth now because they are affecting peoples emotional and financial wellbeing.
ReplyDelete"but to people he has hanging around him they are so blinded by his charm that they simply cannot see the bluff."
ReplyDeleteCharm?
CHARM???
Pugsy, it might not be very smart to use the Bible to justify one's wrongdoings (or alleged wrongdoings), but it sure is a popular strategy.
ReplyDeleteSharon, it does seem that the court of public opinion is meting out some justice while those who have reportedly been wronged await justice from the courts of law.
ReplyDeleteLOL, Ron...but it is my understanding that Saint David can be charming in person. And some may have been "charmed" by the promises he made in some of his promotional material.
ReplyDeleteOh dear God, not this guy again?
ReplyDeleteI'm afraid so, Anon 7:06 PM.
ReplyDeleteThis is what this guy said on another forum and probably explains why he's getting the results he is:
ReplyDelete"Understand that because you 'missed out' on the $2500 commission you didn't really. See if we understand the money is in infinite abundant supply then it can never be taken from us. We then start to working on the creative plane rather than the competive plane and know that much more is on its way to us. We never need to compete for money, or anything else for that matter. All we have to do is see it coming and get ready to recieve it ... which means to mentally prepare by creating the picture of the exact amount already in our posession."
Yes Dear God, please let him understand what a complete and utter jerk he is. So apparently he takes and takes and takes and everyone else is supposed to just understand that its all ok if they think about it long enough it will all come back. God help us all...
Rolling my eyes, Johnathan...
ReplyDelete
